I viewed today's movie on DVD today. I watched it once before one late  night after I bought it.  So I checked it out again and just like before It was great entertainment. Superb acting ,script ,and content   Friends with kids is truly my kind of movie.  The movie kept me engaged and interested throughout .   The sarcastic yet hilarious lines , realistic characters and  mature story lines are all ingredients I need to relate to characters in a movie.  If I were to compare the film on layman's term, I'd say it was a more grown up version of the TV show  Friends.
On a personal note I thought the actress Jennifer Westfeldt had a weird smile, almost Joker "ish" throughout the whole movie . I don't know just struck me as odd.  Not to take away from her obvious beauty. Megan Foxx as MJ...really .  The role did fit her I suppose. Absolutely loved the character Ben 4 star performance ! and you can only get 4 stars .
In closing It's a DVD you can view and then talk about with your friends over a glass of wine. I'm glad I have this go to film in my collection when I need to be entertained .  The movie also gets nominated into my best last line of a movie ...and that's what I saw

                      1999                                  Never Been Kissed

Everyone loves a feel good movie.  The kind of movie that ends well and makes you look forward to your own future.    I just watched one that's high on my list.

directed by Raja Gosnell and starring Drew BarrymoreDavid ArquetteMichael VartanLeelee SobieskiJeremy JordanMolly Shannon,Garry Marshall, and John C. Reilly.

Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore) is a copy editor for the Chicago Sun-Times who has never had a real relationship. One day, her editor-in-chief, Rigfort (Garry Marshall) assigns her to report undercover at a high school to help parents become more aware of their children's lives.

The movie is a total  "chick flick " but there is enough content in it that you can get your man to watch it with you.  It's the kind of movie you want to curl up on the couch with or lay in bed watching on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Drew Barrymore plays the innocent role very well and is totally believable . David Arquette rocks the supporting actor role to the Tee. Molly Shannon takes her comedic role to great heights and you just want to smile with her .

Watching the movie  elevated by belief in the love and the happily ever after model that we so desperately want to cling to.  Drew Barymore who is beautiful really projected being average in this film.  I'm imagining it was hard for her to down play her obvious stardom.  At the end I just felt privileged to be loved and to know what it was like to have and want love.....and that's what I saw " In the movies "

Well, fresh from the show , and I can say it was a good movie.  I went with my Mr. I'm sure he enjoyed the movie more than I.  Red 2 was pumped full of action and it really keeps you interested.  Lots of twist and turns , mega unrealistic "gotcha's " and such.  Bruce Willis played a believable part as well as Helen Mirren.
I wasn't crazy about the Bruce Willis girlfriend role played by Mary-Louis Parker, although she was good in it , it was to slapstick for my taste .

We saw the movie at Hollywood 16 . It's funny how tables have turned . I say that because there was about 6 older European patrons seated behind us , that never shut up during the previews and made out loud comments during the movie. I was tempted to complain to management . The mere thought of it humors me.  Anyway , I also wanted to mention how many commercials and previews you have to sit through now , it's almost at the point of annoyance .

Also on our row at the movies a young couple brought a young child which look to be about 7 or 8. this movie was rated R. Lots of killing , shooting and  death , but no nudity or major cursing . I still didn't think it was appropriate viewing for a child though.
Until next time that's what I saw ...

I always want to see what's in the movies. You can take something away from every film you view. It could be something life changing or just day altering but it's still something. I invite you to follow me through my my views just to see  "what's in the movies "
